    Chest to bar Pull-ups

    As a lifelong exerciser and cardio queen, I was skeptical about this new exercise regimen called “crossfit”. Always up for a challege, I decided to give it a shot. What I have found is nothing less than the best fitness regimen I have ever been involved in.

    There are so many benefits to crossfit, and in particular, crossfit playground. There is the efficiency of the workout – what I used to take 2 hours and sometimes more to do, I now can do in 20-40 minutes, with greater results than I ever previously achieved. As a mother of two young children, time is precious and often hard to come by. The ability to intensely workout in a short duration with incredible results is particularly appealing to me.

    The results themselves are nothing short of spectacular. The transformation of my body has literally been before my eyes. My core strength has greatly increased, my muscle tone and density exceptional. I have gone from a runner with the typical soft muscle tone to a toned and fit athletic warrior. I haven’t felt, or looked this good, in years.

    But probably the most important aspect of crossfit playground is the fact that I have a trainer working with me with each workout. Cindy and Will are incredible. They have put forth the time and effort in themselves to become certified trainers, and I get to take advantage of that every day. They work closely with me (they affectionately call me “cupcake”), guiding, teaching and encouraging me continuously with each and every workout. It is a benefit that is hard to describe or get the full appreciation of until you actually try crossfit playground.

    I have been a “gym rat” for many years. I have spent countless hours and dollars to stay fit – only to find that I spend less time and less money with crossfit playground – and I get a personal trainer with every workout, with greater results than I ever could have imagined.

    Whether you are a beginning or experienced exerciser , and whether you are looking to lose a few pounds or finely tune your athletic skills, crossfit playground is the ideal option. Their tailored programs are unparalleled, and the cooperative and supportive membership is impossible to beat.

    I am grateful for everything Will, Cindy and the entire crossfit playground have done for me.

    warm up: whining and lots of it

    wod: from home – 1 mile run 9:12; 21 10lb right arm snatch/left arm snatch; 21 pull ups

    1 mile run 8:10; 12 10lb right arm snatch/left arm snatch 12 pull ups

    1 mile run 7:10 9 10lb right arm snatch/left arm snatch 9 pull ups

    i actually did pull ups before the snatch

    Whine away cupcake, curse if you want to. I wish I could run a mile in 7:10.. way to go!

    Welcome Danielle and Courtney, good choice coming to the playground. What a way to start out… with the Filthy Fifty, I hope it didn’t scare you away (of course just about every workout/WOD scares me)

    CTB jumping PU’s – weight scaled to work SS form. More weight for both next time.

    Beautiful testimonial Cupcake. I miss seeing you, but the summer awaits us.
    Todays WOD 12:14. NEVER could have gotten that time without Cindy coaching and encouraging me through it. Of course, was rolling on the ground moaning at the end…the sign of a true effort.

    The Playground rocks. I wore my t-shirt today with pride.

    linda is mia- i think she said she would be around thurs and friday this week.
    and ps annie- my speed on the treadmill does not compare to road running – road running is harder and i don’t have the speed i once had while road running (injuries that continue to lurk)- it takes me longer to warm up on the asphalt which always slows my running time.

    WOD-10:51 40lbs – still need to get my ass down! Well, I did twice but I don’t think my butt hitting the pavement is acceptable! Definitely a mental block for me that I need to work on.

    Your form is awesome. Your depth on the squat snatch was good on most of them. Give yourself some credit – you learned the move today and knocked it out of the park!!! Have fun on vacation. See you when you get back!!!

    10:33 with jumping pullups and the weight at 40 but I really got the form at the end so next time as perscribed!!
