WOD:

Nice job Ladies on your box jumps. Jodi, you are tough girl, eating it on a jump and getting right back up to finish!
“Hansen”
Five rounds:
30 KB Swings (2 pood, 1.5 pood)
30 Burpees
30 GHD Sit-ups
Yup, that’s right another hero WOD; one that will kick the crap out of our cores! Get ready to bring all you have tomorrow.
We will have a sign-up sheet in the gym for gear orders. The order will be placed on November 4th.
For all “Eat Right” challengers take your measurements or have us do it for you. Keep up the good work to all of you who have been staying in the zone. Many of you have been asking for recipes that are “zone”. Remember in the zone you can really eat most of anything, you just need to make sure you are WAMing. (WEIGHTING AND MEASURING). You also want to make sure that the majority of your meals are favorable choices.

40:32 Did most of this as Rx’d but sub’d out 30 butterfly situps when the GHDs got to me! Thanks Joyce and Cindy for the encouragement. Fun working out with Baby Momma today!
Bailey and I have been doing the Zone for exactly one week today (We screwed up the first two days because we didn’t understand how it worked). We’ll post measurements and weight later.
October 28th, 2009 at 1:02 pm
Almost forgot, Cin, Bailey wants to buy one of the zone books that has zone recipes. Do you know which one it is?
October 28th, 2009 at 1:24 pm
Cindy- were we supposed to do 1.5 pood? ooops.
October 28th, 2009 at 3:18 pm
Yeah i don’t know who the crazy person was that posted 1.5 pood for women’s weight. that definitely would of put me over the edge today. My back doesn’t like me right now..

Eileen and Bailey –
I don’t own a zone cookbook, but there are tons of them out there if you search on amazon.com. One that looks decent is 150 meals in the zone. Give it a shot. But remember you can pretty much eat anything as along as it is a zone choice and you WAM it.
October 28th, 2009 at 8:51 pm
Thanks Cin, Bailey doesn’t do a lot of cooking and between school and work I think she finds it hard to figure out Zone meals, so she wants to check out cookbooks. Amazone has some for dirt cheap.
And a shout out to Joyce: Tom and I were talking tonight and he wanted to know how you are still doing burpees. I said “VERY CAREFULLY!!” Ha, ha! Anyway, I also told him how I couldn’t believe you were neck and neck with me the entire way on Hansen. I also told him that if not for you I probably would have quit on the pood and dropped down to 24 pounds. You’re an inspiration girl and I shudder to think what you’ll do after Baby Moorcroft comes along
Food log:
Three blocks all:
Breakfast: Small banana, 1 C. skim milk, 1 egg w/cheese (cooked in 1 tspn butter).
Lunch: Ham and cheese w/1 tspn mayo on 1 slice Fiber 1 bread w/lettuce and tom; 1/2 C. grapes, 1 c. skim milk.
Dinner: Total cheat here. Had a minor work crisis and couldn’t cook so I grabbed a pizza. Ate 1 slice with a large tossed green salad w/O&V. Actually, probably not that far outside the zone, since it was only 1 slice and had sausage, toms, garlic and basil.

Oops, I did 1.5 pood. Don’t know if that was Rx’d for men or if it was supposed to be 2. Either way, the lighter kettle bell was still a killer!
