WOD:
“Elizabeth”
21-15-9 reps of:
Clean 135 pounds
Ring dips
For the record, this isn’t like Grace. It’s not “any way overhead.” This one is squat cleans. Looks like we’ve moved on from an intense abdominal programming regimen to stabilization of the midline under load while holding weight in the rack position. Good deal, we all need work there.
Women’s weight is 95 pounds. If you need help with the movement, we’re here to help.
For those of you who missed today’s thruster WOD, we’ll work out the plan for you to make it up.
And in case you missed reading the post for yesterday, we’re still looking for your input about the record board.

I’m not sure what you mean by “the record board”, but I’d love to be able to track my progress on this site rather than try to keep a paper and pencil notebook log (I’m not that organized).
I am so excited for Elizabeth today. Well, I’m pretty excited. Well, I was excited. I wanted to be excited. OK, I’m a little nervous.
On a side note, I’ve upped my zone blocks (after measuring and calculating by the book) and felt a lot better yesterday. After 3 weeks, I have far more definition in my bi’s tri’s and shoulders, and also my quads and maybe(?!) a little starting in the abs (hard to tell under the delivered 4 big babies skin. I am looking forward to seeing what 6 months of crossfitting will create. Regarding the quote of the day, we are our own sculptors, and I’m anxious to see what I can make out of the lump of clay.

as rx’d: 7:43 (PR)
I was a little surprised and disappointed that my legs were a little bit sore from the heavy front squat aspect of the thrusters yesterday. Midline is still a bit sore and tired, too.
A PR is a PR, so I’ll take it.

I think my time was 11:20. I subbed girly knee down push ups for ring dips. My cleans were done with 65#, and I don’t think I could have done more and completed it. My legs are sore. Can’t wait to see tomorrow’s. I used to like the name Elizabeth.

13:24 – Well that was an interesting WOD to say the least. You know when I saw the work out on the website I thought…”Damn thats going to be easy”…well I need to STOP assuming things!

Jen, keep logging them here, but if you want an account to log them on our personal one (asrxd), I can hook you up there as well.
Joe – even when they look easy, they aren’t. It took me a solid six months of underestimating how bad a workout would be before I came moved on to acceptance of this, but it’s a fact. The workout could be “Walk 100 meters at your leisure,” and I would still figure that somewhere along the way, a piano would mysteriously fall out of the sky and I would have to catch it in a proper overhead squat stance. That’s CrossFit.
